Hello Bridgewater Baseball and Softball Families!
As some of you may be aware, Bridgewater Baseball and Softball Inc (BBSI) is changing our website name and its registration system!
What Is Changing?
- We will actively begin using www.BridgewaterBSI.com to provide league information, upcoming events, etc.
- New website will be coupled with Blue Sombrero registration system to handle all new registrations going forward, starting with our spring 2020 season
- Baseball and Softball will no longer have separate websites
Why Are We Making These Changes?
- After being bought out by SportsEngine, League Athletics stopped making improvemnts to its software
- After 6+ years of using the League Athletics platform, it still has not delivered updated mobile-friendly interface
- BBSI will save money on annual maintenance fees
When Is the Change Taking Effect?
- Starting November 1, 2019, all registrations will be done on the Blue Sombrero platform
How Is Blue Sombrero Different than League Athletics?
- Enhanced registration process
- Frequently updated code base
- Stable backend infrastructure
- Mobile-friendly website
What Will Happen with My Old Data?
- There is currently no method to extricate our existing user database with League Athletics
- that means all existing users must re-register as new members (with new passwords) with Blue Sombrero
- The league will pay to keep League Athletics and BridgewaterBaseball.com until November 2020 (BridgewaterSoftball.com will be redirected to our new website)
Next Steps
Please keep in mind that BBSI is driven by volunteers so please bear with us as we roll out new features and enhancements of over the next several months.
We believe all these changes will improve the way we serve our baseball and softball communitiy and are very excited about this change!
