OPENING DAY
Saturday, April 11, 2026
On behalf of Bridgewater Baseball and Softball, we extend to you a warm invitation to participate in the Opening Day Ceremony at the Prince Rodgers Baseball Complex on Saturday April 11, 2026 from 9:30am–11:30am. We will kick off the Spring Season with a parade of Softball and Baseball players onto Prince Rodgers Field #2, followed by a brief opening day ceremony with participation of local officials and special guests.
ARRIVALS: Coaches should arrive by 9:00am and players are asked to be at their specified location in full uniform by 9:30am.
All teams will line up along the outfield fence of PR1 prior to the parade.
We will start with Majors Baseball and Softball by Right Field (Closest to Prince Rodgers Avenue)
Followed by - Minors Baseball, Minors Soft Ball, Farm AA, Farm A, Pee Wee,
K Tee Ball and finally Pre-K Tee Ball
Wrapping around the fence line from right to left field.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
- 7:15am - Check website for Opening Day conditions
- 8:00am - Boards Members and Volunteers arrive.
- 9:00am - Managers and Coaches arrive to prepare for their teams – pick up team signs.
- 9:30am - All players and families arrive.
- 10:00am - Parade of Players through the Prince Rodgers Complex to Field #2 – Bring your Camera!
- 11:30am Completion of Opening Day Ceremony

- National Anthem
- High School Varsity Baseball Team
- Welcome & Remarks – BBSI President
- Bridgewater Town Council
- SEASON KICK OFF – Traditional First Hits by our Youngest Players
- Ceremonial First Pitch
FUN STUFF (weather permitting):
- Sparkee, the Somerset Patriots Mascot, will mingle with our players.
- Live DJ
- Skills Challenges including: Fastest Pitch for all age groups
- League sponsors will be on site and have special promotions & giveaways for our families.
- Home Plate Snack Shack & Grille will be Open ALL DAY.

You can purchase tickets starting on Opening Day up to June 13th Closing Ceremonies at Prince Rodgers Baseball Complex. Tickets are 1 for $5, 3 for $10 and 8 for $20. One winner will be selected. Prize is a Rawlings Icon USA 29", -10 and can be exchanged for any baseball or softball bat of your choosing.
PARKING:
Managers & Coaches arriving early may park in the lot by Fields 4/5 while space is available. Parking for families is available in the PR4/5 lot and North Bridge parking lot first come first served basis.
The main parking lot (PR1,2 & 3) will be closed to all traffic.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN SHOPPING CENTER OR BANK ACROSS THE STREET FROM PRINCE RODGERS OR YOU WILL BE TOWED.
